Torsion springs carry the weight of the door. Doors that open and close all day wear them through cycle after cycle, and when one gives out, the door stops being a door.
On every visit we look at the same things, and we point to each one so you can see it too:
- The torsion spring and its winding cones, for wear and a gap in the coil.
- Cables and drums, for fraying and uneven tension.
- Rollers and track, for flat spots, grease and misalignment.
- Hardware and set screws, for anything loose.
